Dining at Rose Linn

Good food is a good mood! At Rose Linn, our talented chefs prepare three homestyle meals each day.  What’s more, each meal is well balanced and delicious.  Dieticians help construct each week’s menu.  Our resident’s food services are based on their dietary requirements determined upon admission to our facility. As we continue to pivot with COVID-19, so do our dining services.  When possible, we opt to serve each meal in a communal dining room with the company of friends.  During heightened restrictions, our residents dined in smaller groups or in their rooms.  We are very grateful for the flexibility and integrity of our team. We highly encourage you and your loved ones to overview the sample menu below, take a virtual of our dining rooms (RLCC or RLVP), or come visit our wonderful community.

We listed ten healthy eating tips that are recommended for seniors. Take what you need!

1. Uptake more liquids! (Stay Hydrated)

2. Eat a variety of foods

3. Plan your meals for sustained healthy eating

4. Season with herbs and spices for added flavor!

5. Minimize your use of table salt (it will fend off heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and kidney disease)

6. Read nutrition labels, even the “healthy” options! (keep fats, salts and sugars low)

7. Reduce sugar consumption (it lacks nutritional value entirely)

8. Follow recommended serving sizes

9. Choose healthy fats (like olive oil, avocados, nuts and fish)

10. Consider supplements (talk to your doctor about what would best serve your nutritional needs!)
